BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Jan Ondrus is an Assistant Professor in Information Systems at ESSEC Business School, Paris, France (site). He holds a MSc and PhD in Information Systems from HEC Lausanne, University of Lausanne, Switzerland. His PhD thesis consisted on designing a multi-actor multi-criteria approach to assess possible disruptions in the mobile payment market. This research has been under the supervision of Prof. Yves Pigneur (home) and has been funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) under the NCCR-MICS project (MICS).

As part of his research activities, he has been several times a visiting scholar at the Department of Information Technology Management (ITM), Shidler College of Business, University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA. In March 2007, he was invited as a visiting research professor at the School of Business Administration of Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul, South Korea.

His current research consists of investigating the underlying dynamics of the market supply-side of a radical innovation which success is highly dependent on network externalities. The field of research chosen is the mobile payment market because of its interesting properties (e.g., multi-sided market, diversity actors, complexity of the IT infrastructure, disruptive aspect of the technology).
