Rail Japan officially launched the Mobile Suica payment scheme. It is a combinaison of the Suica (contactless card) and the mobile phone. It will be used to pay transportation fares and other types of purchases.

Scott Loftesness from Payment News.com reported an interesting news about the status of the contactless VISA card in the USA. Apparently, these cards are accepted at 20′000 locations already.
