This service will be proposed in automn from Sumitomo Mitsui Banking. They planned to remodel about 7,000 ATMs.
Clients will use the service by holding cell phones equipped with noncontact integrated circuit chips over terminals that read information on IC chips, and then inputting their password.

The mobile network operator Proximus is offering through M-PAY a mobile payment platform for website and wap server. The payments are limited to 10 Euros. However, extension of the solutions might be considered (e.g. movie tickets).

McDonald’s in the US accepts ExpressPay cards at 12.000 locations. Apparently, customers are very happy about the speed and convenience of such payment scheme.

By 2020 all payments go directly to the mobile phone account (ie it is the same as our bank account and our credit card account). We pay all relevant payments by mobile phone, from taxes to rents to monthly car payments etc.
